Note: Due to the NFL now having 2 Monday night games (at least in week one) the tiebreaker is based on the last Monday night game, the last listed game in the application for a given week. They just couldn’t leave well enough alone... |

Technical Support Most technical support questions should be posted on our message board. We review it often and will reply to questions very quickly. This page will go over some basic Q&A. You can also send us an email. You should always make sure you have the latest version before requesting tech support. Your current version can be found in the About screen and the latest released version can be found on our home page. All users should be on 2.05. That update fixed a problem with printing the NFL Standings. Please use the menu item “Check for Updates” to make sure you have the latest released version. Question: I use Outlook Express and when I export All Picks to email I only get a header and no pick data. Why? Answer: That was corrected in 1.94. Only users without the full version of Outlook would experience that bug and will be fine with 1.93 although we suggest everyone stay current. Question: When entering scores I used to be able to tab through the scores in order to enter them. I can no longer do that, what happened? Answer: Tabbing through scores was lost somewhere in the 1.7x updates but it returned in the 1.87 update . Question: It seems that when I enter tie-break points the tie break calculation doesn’t happen automatically. Answer: This has also been addressed in the 1.87 update. Question: When I paste my forms into the body of my email message it comes in as plain text. Why? Answer: Your email application must support HTML messages. Outlook and Outlook Express work fine although during testing there seemed to be some issues with Netscape and Mozilla Thunderbird. Those two applications don’t seem to recognize the incoming HTML and displays the data as plain text. We’re studying this and working on a fix, if possible. In Outlook go to the ”Tools” menu and select ”Options” and ”Mail Format” and select HTML as the email format. Now your email forms should be pasted in correctly. We couldn’t find similar options in Thunderbird and Netscape mail. Question: Why does NFL Pool 2006 require MS Excel? Answer: All print operations go through Excel and use pre-designed Excel spreadsheets / templates. This is to allow faster designing and printing of custom forms and such. For instance if a user requested a custom form we could deliver it in a very short time without having to hard code the entire form in the program which is time comsuming. We can change the look of the forms at any time in a matter of minutes. Most MS Windows users have MS Office so the Excel requirement is not a problem. NFL Pool does not work with the MS Excel viewer. |
